Your initial consultation will last approximately 40 minutes. Dr. Sargur will discuss in detail your current allergy complaint and your previous allergy history. If required, you will then undergo allergy skin prick testing. This involves placing solutions of allergy-causing substances (allergens) that are relevant to your complaint onto your forearm, followed by a pin prick through the drop into the top layer of your skin. After 15 - 20 minutes, the results are observed. An itchy red bump at the site of the pin prick indicates the possibility that you might be allergic to that substance.
